Halibut steak with Vegetables in the Oven


A very delicate broth, came out of these wonderfull Halibut fish. Halibut is a sweet meety chuncky fish. Its delicious in the oven ( halibut steak) or herb crusted on a frying pan. I chose mash potato as side dish-Perfect match!

  • 6 Halibut steaks cleaned.
  • 1 carrot cut into small cubes
  • 2 celery sticks cut into small cubes
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped parsely
  • ½ leek cut lengthwise-seperate the sheets to clean with water
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup white lambrusco
  • 1.5 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 40 gram butter


  1. preheat the oven to 220°c.
  2. place the leek sheets on a shallow baking dish. Add the celery, carrot, garlic, parsley and lemon zest.
  3. Put the Halibut steak on top ,season with salt & pepper.
  4. Spread butter shavings evenly, pour the wine on the fish and vegetables.
  5. Cover with tin foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
